Memphis Sessions – Groovin’ at Thumpty

In 2008 The Memphis Sessions recorded an incredible live funk album, hosted by the Spectemur Agendo Foundation at 800 University Avenue in Ithaca, NY. The band are living legends of Ithaca, NY’s vibrant music scene. Former members of Bernie Milton’s All Star Band: Steve Odum, Frank Henry Jr. and Tommy Bergeron continue the tradition. Joined by London McDaniel and Jeff Tripoli of Blue Sky Mission Club and Free Boody Institute, the band is feel good music at it’s funkiest! The album was recorded at Cornell University’s Theta Delta Chi (otherwise known at Thumpty), by Grammy Award Winning Audio Engineer Randy Wine. The Spectemur Agendo Foundation recorded the live performance as a part of a musical education event, whereby Cornell students would be able to engage with the band and the engineers to better understand the technical setup for the performance. What resulted was an epic recording that can still be found on most all streaming services HERE.
